Editors of a project within a Professional or Pro + workspace.

Visualizing your data as an image or map is powerful, but sometimes you just need to know the exact value of a pixel at a particular point. The inspector tool is here to help you out!

  1. Click the Inspect icon from the top toolbar (keyboard shortcut: Shift + I)

  2. Click on your map

  3. Optionally change the layer you are querying

    1. Top layer (by default)

    2. Selected layer

    3. All layers

The Inspect pop up window will dynamically update with information every time you click a new location on your map.

Note that the Inspect tool will only show the values of layers that are 'turned on' in the table of contents. So if you have any eyelashes showing that the layer is asleep or not turned on, it won't appear in the Inspect pop up. This particularly applies to datasets - you might have the dataset turned on, but the DSM and DTM asleep within. Open the eyes and you're good to go!

Additional ways to access the Inspect tool

  1. Right click on the layer in the table of contents

  2. Click Inspect

or

  1. Click on the toolbox icon from the top menu bar

  2. Open the view menu

  3. Click Inspect

or

  1. Use the shortcut Shift + I at any time
